Joseph Black had many different haircuts during his lifetime. He was well recognized as a great chemist, physicist, scientist and university teacher. Nevertheless, the British chemist was especially known for his incomparable looks and his delightful character. Before his tragic death at age 71 he was repeatedly in the spotlight of the press because of his marvelous hair.
